Slept late for a change. Had breakfast at the club and went with [F.J.] Taylor [United Press] to Chaumont and had a talk with Col. Surrey about censorship. Saw part of a baseball game at Chaumont. Spent the evening at the club with Percy Noel of the Chicago News.

Weather retired again – rainy.

A funeral service for Don Martin was held in Paris on Sunday, October 13, 1918, at the American Church, rue de Berri. The New York Herald published this report on Monday, October 14, 1918.
