Don Martin diary entry for Saturday,
June 22, 1918:
Returned to
Neufchateau. First went to physician to have finger attended. Jammed it on a
shell yesterday and now it has festered up, causing much pain. Had bad weather
most of way back. Luncheon in St. Dizier. Two blow-outs on way. Arrived Meaux 7
p.m. Found everything quiet our sector.
Today marks the 200th posting of a daily Don Martin, Soldier of the Pen, blog. There are about a hundred more days to go, on which Don Martin will report on the American forces getting into ever greater fighting.
