Don Martin
diary entry for Wednesday, August 14, 1918:
Stayed in and wrote mail stories. Wrote one of 3,000 words on the
importance of air supremacy; 3,000 on the way army headquarters move etc.;
about 600 on Quentin Roosevelt’s grave and about 1,500 on sidelights etc.
Cabled nothing. Got five letters from family including Dorothy – a pretty good
batch for one day.
